Online Training on Multimedia Resources for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
NEP 2020 specifies content creation in clause 24.4 section (d). “A digital repository of content will be developed, including the creation of coursework, Learning Games & Simulations, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality, as well as a clear public system for user ratings on effectiveness and quality.” Student-appropriate tools such as apps, gamification of Indian art and culture, in multiple languages, with clear operating instructions, will also be developed for fun-based learning.” Section (g) goes on to discuss teacher training in learner-centered pedagogy and the creation of high-quality digital content using online teaching platforms and tools.
Govt. Digital Content Creation Course
The creation of digital content and the training of teachers in content creation is a regular activities of CIET-NCERT. A five-day online training on “Multimedia Resources for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment” has been planned in response. Multimedia resources provide an immersive experience by combining text, images, audio, and video.
These resources enhance the learning experience by using various media to visualize and explain abstract concepts. Considering the various needs of learners, the use of multimedia content has now become an essential component of teaching, learning, and assessment. It is critical for a content creator to understand the concept and types of multimedia resources, as well as the development process and tools.
Govt. Free course Learning Time-Table
With the vision of enhancing the professional skills of the teacher, CIET-NCERT is organizing a five-day online training on “Multimedia Resources for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment” from 22-26 August 2022 from 4.00 pm – 5.00 pm to leverage the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators, and various stakeholders on the multimedia resources, their types, availability of these resources, the process of development and FOSS tools for developing these resources in order to enrich the classroom experiences. The online training will be live on NCERT’s official YouTube.
